Google Pixel Watch 3 offer two sizes for user preference

Google might launch the Pixel Watch 3 in two different sizes, a departure from its previous single-size approach. Unlike competitors Apple and Samsung, whose smartwatches offer two size options, Google has typically stuck to a 41mm diameter. However, the Pixel Watch 3 is rumored to introduce a larger variant, potentially addressing a common user complaint and enhancing its competitiveness in the market.

According to 9to5Google, the development of two size variants for the Pixel Watch 3 is currently underway. While the specifications are expected to be similar, the larger model might feature a bigger display and a larger battery. This move is seen as a response to user feedback, as many Pixel Watch and Pixel Watch 2 users expressed a desire for a larger watch option.

Details about the specific sizes remain undisclosed, but it is anticipated that Google will retain the 41mm variant while introducing a larger one. This approach aligns with competitors like Apple, offering size options such as 41mm and 45mm, or Samsung with 40mm and 44mm variants for its Galaxy Watch 6.

The report also touches upon a previous suggestion that the Pixel Watch 3 could adopt a buttonless design with a new sensor technology, enabling users to control the smartwatch through gestures like taps, long presses, pinches, and swipes. However, whether this entails the removal of the crown remains uncertain at this point.
