Lenovo has recently introduced the ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid at CES 2024, expanding its ThinkBook Plus laptop series. This unique device, running on Windows 11, features a detachable 14-inch 2.8K OLED touchscreen display that transforms into an Android 13-powered tablet for extended battery life. 

The tablet functionality is complemented by the optional Lenovo Tab Pen Plus, available separately. Additionally, users can connect the hybrid to an external display, seamlessly transitioning between tablet and PC modes. 

Pricing for the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid starts at $1,999, with availability in the US expected in Q4 2024. Detailed plans for global launches are anticipated in the coming months. The device boasts powerful specifications, including an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, 32GB LPDDR5x RAM for the laptop, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip with 12GB LPDDR5x RAM for the tablet. 

The hybrid station provides 1TB of SSD storage, while the tablet comes with 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Notably, both components feature high-quality audio with Harman Kardon speakers, and the device incorporates a 1080p IR camera for selfies and video chats. 

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, Thunderbolt 4 ports, and more, ensuring versatile usage. The ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid operates with separate batteries – a 75WHr battery for the base and a 38WHr battery for the tablet, each capable of independent use. The hybrid station and tablet have compact dimensions and weights for convenience.
