Sony may soon launch Play Station 5 V2 DualSense controller

Sony might introduce an upgraded version of the PS5 DualSense controller, as hinted by a now-deleted listing on the Canadian Best Buy store. The V2 PlayStation gamepad promises an impressive 12-hour battery life, a notable improvement from the existing controller's 7-8 hours. Priced at CAD 89.99, it includes a click-in charging station for added convenience.

The DualSense V2 maintains the design of the original, featuring a 3.5mm headphone jack, built-in microphone, haptic feedback motors, and adaptive triggers. However, the listing may not cover all specifications, and Sony's release plans remain uncertain. During CES 2024, Sony showcased new PS5 colorways but didn't mention the DualSense V2.

Sony aims to innovate in the gaming industry. PlayStation recently unveiled a lineup of free games for higher-tier PS Plus subscriptions, including Resident Evil 2 remake and Just Cause 3. Last year, Sony increased the prices of its annual PS Plus memberships.
